Susy is an artist working in the medium of acrylic, whose paintings try to capture life forms and the beauty of things around her. The softness of flowers, fruits and forms of bright vegetations. The exquisite world of close up textures, fragrance and vivid color that is all around us, offering a gift to our senses and vision.

She has this to say about her delicately beautiful work:

"My work shows a detailed view of the simple things we sometimes take for granted. An expression of how fragile the world is and how we the human race can alter life until such gifts are lost for ever. My paintings try to understand how the human mind and mankinds relationship interacts with life forms, textures and colors. My Mexican blood brings out my intense self-confidence and strong personality giving me the desire for strong forms, vivid colors, and sometimes unconventional formats."

"My paintings are expressing basically two areas: One is my philosophy of life and memories, and the second area is admiring beauty from nature. You will always find Susy Casillas in my paintings; if I am admiring something, I will be in a corner, watching the object. If the creation is expressing a point of view about life and existence, or a memory, then the main figure will be myself or others".
