Eli is a Professional Landscape photographer based in the North West of England. He grew up in the wonderful countryside of Mid Wales, and it was no surprise that when he took up photography, he was immediately passionate about the great outdoors.

This passion for photography was realised when a friend showed him his film SLR camera. Intrigued by the functions and possibilities it wasnt long before he made his first purchase - a Pentax SF7 "...the possibility of capturing all the breath-taking landscape scenes I have seen, sat and enjoyed was a wonderful prospect." He started out working with traditional darkroom methods, exploring the magical world of Black & White. However, after the realisation that it was colour that evoked his strongest emotions, Eli now uses it almost exclusively.

Eli can be found taking images of seascapes, mountains and rolling hills. He also looks to the smaller world of close-ups, saying this intimate way of looking at the landscape can be more challenging. He also enjoys the architectural Landscape and was the proud winner of an architectural competition set in Liverpool. Like most landscape photographers he enjoys the special qualities of light seen at either end of the day, "...I enjoy more than anything being at a peaceful location either before dawn or with the final hours of daylight, away from the stresses of everyday life, absorbing the quietness or the drama of a place. Although most days a blanket of cloud frustratingly blocks the best light, and it can take many return visits, it is those special lighting moments that influence me to continue and share them."

Eli has had his work appear in books, magazines, and his images are regularly being purchased for private collections and corporate investments.
