Born in the UK in 1949, Sue explores aspects of her identity through digital photography, collage and painting. She completed a BA in Fine Art at Liverpool John Moores University in 2009 has shown in the Open exhibition at Chapel Gallery, Ormskirk in 2006 and 2008 and her unusual collages on acetate were well received in an exhibition entitled "New Blood" as part of the Biennial Independents in Liverpool city centre in 2008.

The artist describes her working process:

"My inspiration comes from images which resonate with aspects of my identity. Taking photographs as my starting point, I crop, manipulate and collage them, and use the results as a basis for paintings. My love of colour originates from being in the garden of my childhood home and my final degree exhibition included a vibrant woodland painting which could be turned to enable viewing from different perspectives. Other work has incorporated line, pattern and colour relating to my identity as an Anglo-Indian woman, as well as work which draws upon aspects of the environment that I come across in my daily life. Currently I am working on a series of colourful abstract paintings based upon images of ripples on water as well as looking at the effect of having images printed upon less traditional surfaces such as aluminium and acrylic, future plans are to develop a series of abstract landscapes using palette knives and less traditional painting techniques."
