Stella works instinctively using the elements of heightened emotions, spatial awareness and relevance of source. At times she uses photography to capture the elements required, which are then morphed digitally into unique visuals. By using a variety of materials she mixes traditional and contemporary methods to create mixed media canvas pieces. By allowing the chemicals and materials to react and resist with each other the emerging pieces can evolve into 2D and 3D structured paintings.
Through experimenting in this way her work develops through context of source and through textural surface qualities. Her aim is to allow the unpredictability of the elements used, to form and shape their own destiny of which she then attempts to snatch back control. All of her work can be adapted to meet her clients? needs which can be tailor made to suit a particular space and theme.
