Emma is a self trained artist based on the Wirral. She has been passionate about art, particularly creating large abstract works for many years, but never sold on a professional level up to now. Through a lot of support from family and friends (and as she was running out of storage space!) she decided to approach local galleries and begin to sell some of her work. ?Along with painting, her other love is travelling and she has recently returned from almost 2 years travelling through the more remote parts of Asia

Paints and canvases were not readily available but a sketchpad and camera got her thinking about taking up her brush professionally when she returned. Since returning she has started creating themed works based on her experiences - particularly waves and also taking on commissions. Her preferred medium is acrylic on canvas but she also makes use of her travelling photographs to create pencil sketches. This mix of abstract and detailed art allows her to express two very different sides of her skills and life so far.
