Breda Whyte was born in Ireland and has been living on the Wirral for five years. She has been creating batik images for over twenty years. She was introduced to Batik in Cork by the Meeney sisters, then Irelands foremost batik artists.
Breda has had solo exhibitions in London, Brittany, Northern and Southern Ireland and has also taken part in group shows in London, La Cheze and Wirral and has completed commissioned pieces for St Marys High School Middleton, Cork and Central Library Dublin. She was a member of the Artists Association of Ireland, and involved in the setting up of the Artists Association of Brittany and is now a member of the Batik Guild. She also exhibited at the XVII Salon International Du MAE France.
